A Horse That Cannot be Tamed to Ride
Gillian Leppado is an Outlaw Figure 8 race car driver. She left her home state of Washington to live in Indianapolis and pursue a full-time racing career.
I was interested in photographing race car drivers because I wanted to reconnect with something lost from my childhood. I showed up to the Indianapolis Speedrome on a summer day in 2024 to begin my search.
And on that day, I found Gillian.
