Rachael Banks is a working artist who creates photographs rooted in long-term observation.
Her work has been widely exhibited and published. She is recognized as a New York Times Portfolio Review alumna, a Silver Eye Fellowship honoree, and a featured artist in the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial: backstories.
Rachael was born in Louisville, KY and currently lives in Newport, KY. She received an MFA in photography from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. Rachael compulsively photographs deer and black dogs
