Rachael Banks is a working artist and educator who creates photographs rooted in long-term observation. She was born in Louisville, KY and currently lives in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. Rachael received an MFA in photography from Texas Woman’s University in 2015.
Her work has been widely exhibited and published.
Rachael compulsively photographs deer and black dogs. She is most interested in complicated human relationships, short track racing, family dynamics, motorcycles, fishing and wildlife, folklore, epigenetics and generational trauma, harm reduction, the Kentucky landscape, and everything along the Ohio River.
